I’m thrilled to return to the @staatsoperberlin next season. After two runs with the magnificent Rosenkavalier I am going to sing Osmin in a new production of „Die Entführung aus dem Serail“ in June 2026. You realise that you have been around for quite some time when you know everybody in this superb cast and I can’t wait to meet you dear friends again in Berlin: @adelazaharia.soprano @serafina.starke @siyabonga_j_maqungo @laurenz.michael, Thomas Guggeis and @mosesregie! @machreichartists

After a fantastic new production of “Der Freisch

After a fantastic new production of “Der Freischütz” this summer on the lake @bregenzerfestspiele we open the season @staatsoperstuttgart with the legendary Achim Freyer staging from 1980.
This production has an important place in my heart, as the Hermit was one of my first roles in Stuttgart and I am full of joy that I can sing Kaspar this season.

Heute Abend ist es endlich soweit: meine erste Vorstellung auf der Seebühne der @bregenzerfestspiele! ToiToiToi allen großartigen Kollegen @mandyfredrich @hannaherfurtnersopran @roromei @niklas_wetzel_official @liviu_holender @andreaswolfbass @maximilian.krummen @theresa_gauss @sarah.schmidbauer1995_ und unserer wundervollen Dirigentin @erinayashima - jetzt muss nur noch das Wetter halten und der dunkle Jäger Kaspar kann sich auf seinen Höllenritt begeben 💪🦌👹

Yesterday was a very special concert for me: 15 years after my first encounter with the Schubertiade at a life changing masterclass with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and several ensemble concerts I had the great honour of bringing a solo recital to this prestigious stage. Amongst some of the most beautiful Schubert songs for bass we had Brahms’ Four Serious Songs in the programme. My personal highlight were Richard Strauss’ mesmerising Three songs on poems by Friedrich Rückert. The piano part is even more challenging than the singing part and I couldn’t be happier that I had the one and only @ammiel_pianist by my side 🤩 If you like you can listen to the concert at Ö1 radio on the 24th of May at 19:30.
