On Saturday 9th June 2016 from 8pm you can watch the new production of Mozart’s “Abduction from the Seraglio” in a direct stream from Lyon Opera. The performance will be available on the French website CultureBox. David Steffens sings Osmin – in the other parts: Jane Archibald (Konstanze), Cyrille Dubois (Belmonte), Michael Laurenz (Pedrillo), Joanna Wydorska (Blonde) and Peter Lohmeyer (Bassa Selim). Stefano Montanari conducts the Orchestre de la Opéra national de Lyon.

Stuttgart State Opera has released the schedule for the upcoming season 2016/17.

David Steffens is going to make his debut as Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) and is going to appear as  1. Nazarener (Salome), Zuniga (Carmen), Angelotti (Tosca) and in the new production of Pique Dame as Ssurin.

Last Sunday, September 27, David Steffens jumped in as The Hermit in Weber’s Freischütz at Stuttgart State Opera.

David Steffens is going to sing Osmin in a new production of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio at Lyon Opera House. The premiere will be on 22 June 2016.

David Steffens is now a member of the ensemble at Stuttgart State Opera.
The season starts with Pistola in Verdi’s Falstaff on the 26th of September. Two days later, on the 28th, he is going to sing the Zio Bonzo in Puccini’s Butterfly.

David Steffens is going to perform at Schubertiade Schwarzenberg Hohenems, one of the most important festivals for chamber music, on 6 Oct 2015. The programme will consist of multi part songs by Franz Schubert.

Rehearsals in Stuttgart have started for a very special production of Dvorak’s Rusalka. Together with the Young Opera Stuttgart, the Baden-Württemberg Youth Orchestra and very interesting colleagues I am looking forward to the upcoming weeks and my first Water Gnome!
